Flying into Losangeleese
Well, it's almost time for us to leave paradise to exhibit our designs at the California Gift Show at the LA convention center, January 18th to 23rd. Then we take the beautiful drive through the desert, which reminds us of the open sea, to Tucson for the Pueblo Gem Show, January 28th to February 9th.
We arrive in the States on the 11th and plan to share our new crop of one-of-a-kinds with a few of our special galleries. If you would like to get a first pick, before we sell out, just contact us.
The photos are ideas we are working on for these two foot by six foot tall photos for the back of the booths.

Island Getaway
At any one time there are probably 100,000 tourists visiting here on Bali and Lombok. So we have discovered some islands a day sail away that are virtually undiscovered by tourists. We beach comb and snorkel completely by ourselves for days at a time. It's the same as when we lived in the Caribbean, Florida Keys or Yellowstone National Park. 90% of the tourists see less than 10% of the area. Thank you very much

Home from the Sea
We're back in Bali after 6 weeks of sailing the outer islands of Vanuatu and the Solomons. We've seen things very few Westerners ever do. Robbin's added to her sand collection and we beachcombed over 50 pounds of 70 year old Coke sea glass.
We have designed a new line with the sea glass called "It's the real thing."

Vanuatu Islands Sign
We have to learn the language "Pidgin" so we can communicate with the locals on our coming sail. It's the universal language of the islands of Vanuatu, The Solomons, and Papua New Guinea.
This sign gives you an idea. Also, includes French for the left over colonials.

GOING SAILING!
We are off sailing for a month or so. We fly to Vanuatu and sail with friends from there through the primitive, rarely visited islands of Northern Vanuatu and the Solomons. When we sailed across the South Pacific we visited the southern islands of Vanuatu, so this will be new water and people.
Above is an anchorage discovered by Captain Cook on the island of Tanna in Southern Vanuatu . That's our home, Cuchara, at anchor.

Meditation Inspiration
Well, Warren has been at a vipassana retreat in the bowl of a volcano for a week. While he was being mindful of his breath I was busy creating. Our friends sailor pals, Jim and Vicki, that have Havaiki Gallery in Hanalei, Kauai commissioned us to make some one of a kind pendants and bracelets. This wonderful pendant is fossil dinosaur bone and a fish fossil. I've set them with copper tabs and textured sterling silver.

Design Inspiration
Well we have this nice, big order from www.novica.com for a pendant we make of carved bone and sterling silver.
Tattooing came to Westerners from the early sailors arriving in the Marquesa Islands of French Polynesia. So traditonally sailors get a tattoo after the long passage to these isles. We were 20 days without land bound from the Galapagos islands when we arrived at Fatu Hiva. So of course we must get a tattoo to mark this epic passage, the longest of any circumnavigator. Mine is a traditional Marquesan design of waves and the moon which is the inspiration for our pendant that Novica chose.

Peublo Gem Show, Tucson
Well we are down to the last few days here in Tucson. It's been a great show. Now we have to get back to work in Bali. Seems this was the year for rings and our one-of-a-kind pieces. Those are our favorite designs to work on so we are excited to get back to the benches. Watch our website; www.e-bu-jewelry.com for the new work as we make it.
Thanks for your support,
Warren and Robbin

Leavin' on a jet plane.
Well, we leave for LA Friday and are busy making the latest one-of-a-kinds. The photo is of a ring Robbin designed and I made. Ammonite set in etched silver on black bamboo and it's adjustable just in case.
